Advisory Council
The Advisory Council collaborates with Aging staff to better serve older adults in Lackawanna County by offering input and ideas, fundraising, and programming of interest of the older adult population to provide resources to improve the quality of life for those 60+.
Responsibilities include:
a. Promoting a better public understanding of the program and objectives of the Agency.
b. Formulating policies for the development and operation of the Agency.
c. Maintaining standards of elderly care consistent with current concepts of elderly services and programs in accordance with state regulations.
d. Making recommendations to the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners on matters referred to them by the Executive Director for consideration or advice; or as required to promote the effectiveness of the Agency.
